Apart from being a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, I’m also a journalist with The Bottom Line. I became involved with during my second year after the shooting of Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords. Outraged that something like that happened, and upset that UCSB’s daily paper hadn’t covered it, I went to a meeting to see if I could write that story.
Two years later, I’m now the executive managing editor of the paper and was offered the amazing opportunity to cover both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions in partnership with the community radio station KCSB. I’m also currently interning with the Santa Barbara Independent.
While I’ll be updating my blog with some of my work, you can find complete lists of what I’ve done for The Bottom Line here, the work I’ve done for KCSB here, and what I’ve done for the Independent here.
